With the staff team, Brett seeks to keep St Luke’s a place where many people come to know Jesus and grow as whole-hearted followers of Jesus. His particular focus is on helping people draw close to God through the bible and helping people find ways to serve one another and our community. Brett also loves to surf.
Our Pastoral Care Minister is Jennie. She loves having the care of our senior parishioners as part of her role, focusing on our Thursday Communion Service. When she isn’t working you may find her with a paint brush in her hand, or hunting for old sewing machines that are begging to be restored and used.
Luke wants to see many people find new life in Jesus and become part of the life here at St Luke's. Luke is married to Nicole, and when not at work enjoys drinking coffee, ice hockey, long runs and (still) learning to surf.
Jess is married to Luke and has 3 wild children. Jess previously served as a cross cultural missionary in South East Asia and is our Children's Minister. She seeks to grow a generation to know and follow Jesus. She is particularly passionate about seeing young families grow closer to Jesus together. Jess spends her spare time as a crazy soccer mum, watching her kids surf and eating chocolate.
Amie is delighted to work alongside Jess in Children’s Ministry at St Luke’s. She loves helping kids discover who Jesus is and how to be his friend. In her spare time, Amie likes to spend time with her husband Brian, play at the beach with Bobby the dog or go on adventures with friends.
Russell has a passion for seeing people worship and serve the Lord Jesus with every moment of their lives, and so has particular focus on staff doing just that! In his spare time, Russell loves to run, do music-related things, and play board/tabletop games with friends.
Sam is married to Jess and they have four children (Percy, Lois, Finn & Cleo). He is especially passionate about seeing young people come to know Jesus and grow to be more like him. When not at work you will often find Sam practicing his knee-bars, toe hooks and crimps on some form of climbing wall.
Jake became a Christian at St Luke’s through kids and youth ministry. Now undertaking a ministry apprenticeship at the church, he is eager to spend his time sharing the gospel so more people can understand and trust in Jesus. Jake studied Business and Sports Management and has previously worked with various non-for-profits and sporting organisations. Jake still enjoys to play and watch sport especially football and cricket, his favourite movie is Surf’s up!
Colin looks after the Church office and site full time. Colin is Married to Val and loves cycling. Colin grew up on a dairy farm near the small NSW country town of Adelong (near Gundagai) and is very thankful for the practical skills that gave him to operate equipment and fix things that broke down on the farm. As well as enjoying cycling Colin is an avid motorsports fan, having raced himself in a junior category, and loves the high tech of Formula 1.
Theny and her husband Brett have a son Samuel. Theny was born on the “island of the gods” – Bali, Indonesia but migrated to Oz when she was 6 years old where God led her parents to open the very first ever, Indonesian speaking church in Australia.
She loves to catchup with friends over coffee and go for brunch with her husband most weekends. Theny loves to eat out, go to the Movies or watch Netflix at home. She loves to entertain family & friends at home often firing up the outdoor wood-fired pizza oven. She enjoys bike riding on her e-bike with her husband and baking in her spare time.
Lisa and her husband Sam have two fiery redheads. Lisa works part-time and is responsible for the St Luke’s church database, Elvanto. In her spare time, you will find Lisa folding laundry watching netflix!
